The environment plays a huge factor in learning outcomes for children. But this is so much more than just the room or space they find themselves in. We pride ourselves on helping children and families to feel welcome and able to build a sense of belonging, which supports our teaching. This also extends to our focus on sustainability and social responsibility – teaching children from a young age about their role in the future of our planet.
Our learning environments are the heart of our centre. We have fun and engaging learning facilities which are age appropriate and reflect both the home and natural environments.
Our classrooms are equipped with modern teaching aids providing the highest quality early learning experiences.
The Kindergarten class utilises a smartboard in their school readiness activities. The numbers within each room are limited; we want to ensure your child receives the highest level of care and maximum safety whilst they are with us.
At Gumleaf Gully we have 3 separate yards including our independent nursery yard, our shared age main yard and our kindergarten yard. Our nursery yard is carefully designed with our little crawlers in mind. With their own sand pit, soft fall to protect them from falls, ample shade, and plenty of space to explore, get messy and enjoy the outdoors. In our main yard we have thoughtfully placed structures such as our sandpit and climbing fort. With our open spaces for physical play to allow freedom to create changing experiences in accordance with our educational programs. To support our Kindergarten program and the needs of the older children they have their own yard to allow for freedom of movement between indoor and outdoor spaces.
